Evacuation Chair Training

1. Target Group
This course is designed for employees who will be involve in the evacuation of immobile or fragile people in an emergency down escape stairs.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisite entry requirements for this qualification.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All students will be
asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

4. Aims and Objectives
This course is aimed to train staff on how to correctly and confidently use the Evacuation Chair in an emergency situation while avoiding injury or strain.

5. Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, delegate will:
 Understand all related health and safety information
 Understand the general usage of evacuation chair
 Demonstrate the set up and usage in the classroom
 Experience hands-on usage under the supervision of the instructor
 Understand about the maintenance and service requirements for the chair

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
The course is a competency based, delegates will be assess on oral questioning and practical exercises.

Three years validity
