Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Awareness

1. Target Group
This course is designed for everyone who needs to understand and conduct Job Safety Analysis.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4. Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of this training is to provide the participants with an understanding of the fundamental principles of JSA, as important incident
prevention tool.

5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
 Define hand and portable power tools
 Determine labelling, instruction and storage
 Introduce the hazards and main causes of injuries
 Highlight general guidelines for hand and portable power tools safety
 Recognize correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for using hand and portable power tools
 Determine the safe operation of various hand and portable power tools
 Describe Ergonomics in relation to tool use

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is an awareness course and includes observational written assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
