Qatar Airways Basic Fire Awareness

Scope (Target Group)
This course is designed to meet Qatar Airways’ requirement for training ground crews and maintenance staff.

Objectives
This 2 hour course is designed to explain the duties and responsibilities of all persons in respect of preventing fires, and the actions to take if a fire occurs.

Structure of the Course (Course Content)
The syllabus focuses on:
– Main causes of fire
– Fire precautions
– Alarm systems
– Structural fire protection and detection system
– Fire procedures
– Duties and responsibilities of all persons
– Duties of Fire Wardens in the event of fire

Assessment
The course is an attendance-based course and includes informal observational assessment. Qatar Airways will be informed of any delegate who appears
not to understand the fire safety message or fails to attend the training session.

Certification & Approvals
Attendance is mandatory for certain staff, and is recorded as per Qatar Airways’ internal procedures
QISC are approved by Qatar Civil Defense to conduct this training.
