1. Target Group
The NEBOSH International Technical qualification is specifically designed for people with safety responsibility within oil and gas industry. The qualification
focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and
offshore.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisite entry requirements for this qualification. Although students will find it helpful to have already achieved certification of the NEBOSH
International General Certificate first as this greatly improves a students’ potential end-result.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All students will be
asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

4. Aims and Objectives
This technical certificate is aimed towards those already experience in the field of Oil and Gas and is known for being a technically challenging course.

5. Learning Outcomes
The learner will be able to understand the:
 Health, safety environment management in context
 Hydrocarbon process safety
 Fire protection and emergency response
 Logistics and transport operations

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
There is one core unit (IOG1 written exam paper) to successfully complete before you become fully certified with the NEBOSH Oil and Gas certificate
qualification.
 Written Exam Papers
The examination comprises of one 2-hour written paper for the unit entitled IOG1, which means there is only one 2-hour examination in total. For the
written papers (IOG1) the exam questioning format consists on one long answer question and ten short answer questions – all of which you should attempt
to gain maximum marks. NEBOSH certification (certificate issuance will take minimum of 30 days from the course completion)
