Extinguisher Maintenance Training

Scope (Target Audience)
Anyone servicing fire extinguishers needs to be ‘competent’ to conform with BS5306 part 3:2009.

Objective
This intensive four day programme introduces the student to the requirements of BS5306 part 3:2009 and part 8:2000 in how to commission, maintain
and install fire extinguishers,

Course Content
The course broadly covering:
The causes of fire and means of fire prevention
Fire legislation, regulations and appropriate British/European standards
Type, construction and safe operation and handling of fire extinguishers
Inspection procedures
Servicing procedures – Commissioning, Basic, Extended and Overhaul
Provision, siting and installation of extinguishers
Practical servicing experience and how to actually apply this newly acquired knowledge in the field

Certification
BAFE Approved Certification after the completion of two hour written examination paper and one-to-one practical examination with the BAFE examiner.
