Overview (Target Audience)
The course is designed for Onshore and Offshore personnel with the responsibilities of wearing breathing apparatus as part of routine operations.

There are no prerequisites for Breathing Apparatus Awareness Training.
Course Learning Outcomes
During the training, the delegate will focus on the following elements:
1. Current legislation
2. Basic Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Construction
3. Pre operational checks
4. Air management guidelines
5. SCBA set assembly
6. Pre operational check
7. Donning and doffing
8. Walk about in SCBA
9. Restricted areas in SCBA
10. SCBA Set removals
11. Airline attachment
12. Recording of pre operational checks
Elements 5 through to 12 will be performed practically
Certification
Each delegate will be issued with a Qatar International Safety Centre Certificate.

Health & Fitness
All personnel who participate in practical activities specified in this course outline must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.
All delegates will be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
Delegates are required to declare any current or pre-existing medical conditions which may be exacerbated by, or impair their ability to complete, the
training/assessment programme. Should this be the case, the individual may be required to provide an authentic medical certificate issued since any
identified medical condition was diagnosed.
