Confined Space Attendant (CSA)

1. Target Group
This course is designed for all employees performing confined space duties at their worksites.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisite entry requirements for this qualification.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All students will
be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

4. Aims and Objectives
This course is aimed to inform employees of the duties of confined space entrants, attendants and entry supervisors, as well as the hazards associated
with confined space entry, permit procedures, approval process and measures necessary for protection.

5. Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, delegate will:
 Understand the hazards and control measures of confined space entry
 Understand the responsibilities of Confined Space Entry Attendant
 Understand the action to be taken in the event of an emergency
 Identify Permit to Work and related documents required prior to work in a confined space
 Understand how to use Permit to Work and related documents
 Control the access to the confined space area

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
The course is a competency based, delegates will be assess on written examination and a scenario-based interview. QISC certification Three years validity
