Confined Space Entry Awareness

1.Target Group
This four-hour course will benefit those personnel who may be called upon to undertake confined space entry tasks as part of their work.

2.Delegate Pre-requisites

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing
appropriate medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4.Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of this course is to provide participants with the necessary information on safe working procedures during confined space entry
operations.

5.Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
To be made aware of:
 What is a confined space is.
 Types of confined spaces.
 Hazards and controls in confined spaces.
 Roles and responsibilities.
 Confined space entry permit and entry procedures.
 Emergency response.

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is an awareness course and includes an observational written assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
