Critical Incident Stress Management

1.Target Group
This course is designed for individuals who are either designated as being in charge of, are members of, or provide support to an emergency situation.

2.Delegate Pre-requisites

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing
appropriate medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4.Aims and Objectives
This course is aimed to provide initial emergency training program to progress to the role of an emergency response member.

5.Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
The delegates will be able to:
 Understand the key factors of preparing for, responding to, and maintaining control throughout the development of an emergency situation.
 Learn how to maintain communication, emergency related information and put into place predetermined plans at the point when the emergency
has occurred.
 Understand how stress can impact on individuals and team performance during emergencies.

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is an awareness course only and will be assess in oral questioning and written assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with 3 years validity
