Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW)

Anyone who are required to render immediate first aid to ill and injured person prior to arrival of professional help.

*3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participate in practical activities specified on this course, must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All delegates
will be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre (QISC) standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
*4. Aims and Objectives
This training course aimed to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge required by an appointed person to be able to deal with an emergency until
medical help is available.
*5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
By the end of this course, successful candidates should be able to:
Understand the role of the First Aider
Be able to assess an incident
Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock
Be able to manage an epileptic casualty
Be able to manage a casualty with a minor burns and scalds
Be able to manage a casualty with foreign objects
*6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
This is competency based course includes practical and written assessment. QISC certification.
Validity – three years.
