First Aid At Work (Refresher)

*1. Target Group
This 2 day course is designed for those who are acting as a First Aider in the workplace or who currently acts as a First Aid Responder reporting to the medic
and previously completed a 3 day First Aid at Work.

*3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participate in practical activities specified on this course, must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All delegates will
be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre (QISC) standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

*4. Aims and Objectives
This training course aimed to provide the workplace with trained personnel who are able to deal safely and effectively with a person who has been injured or
suffered sudden illness prior to medical aid being obtained.

*5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
By the end of this course, successful candidates should be able to:
 Be able to conduct primary and secondary surveys
 Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints
 Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries.
 Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest and abdominal injuries
 Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with specialised burn injuries

*6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
This is competency based course includes practical and written assessments
QISC certification
Validity – three years
