Health and Safety for Supervisor
1. Target Group
This one-day training course is designed to provide Supervisors a with a level of health and safety knowledge to enable them to develop an appropriate
understanding of the key health and safety principles and their own roles, responsibilities and accountability towards their work force and work place, in
order to create a safer working environment.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.
4. Aims and Objectives
The aims of this course is to provide employers, managers and supervisors with a thorough understanding of the different aspects of health and safety in the
workplace. It also aims to raise awareness of the responsibilities that all managers and supervisors are expected to maintain.

Understand and explain planning for safety
Understand and explain Risk Assessment
Understand and demonstrate Effective Communication
Explain the ways of improving Health and Safety performance
Understand legislation and standards: Labor law; Environment Protection Law; Statutory Decree, QCS 2014; Euro Norm (EN); British Standards (BS);
International Standards and Codes of Practice
Explain site responsibilities for safety
6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is course includes observational written and practical assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
