Scope (Target Group)
This presentation is designed to give a basic level of understanding relating to fire safety in the home and in community buildings.
This presentation is aimed to all persons, particularly family members and family support staff, teachers and children. There is also a modified version
available for young children in schools.

Objectives
To give all attendees an overview of the role they play in enhancing a safe home and community environment. By the end of the session the attendees
will be able to perform basic home safety related checks and an evacuation of their home. They will also be aware of basic evacuation requirements from
community buildings.

This is an informative based presentation and no formal assessment will be conducted during this session.

Recommended Annual Refresher (Teachers and support staff)

Course Duration
2 hours to 4hrs (dependant on number of attendees and questions raised). The modified version for children lasts for 1 hour (in order to avoid attention
loss) and is very interactive.
