HUET HEED Training (1 Day)
Scope (Target Audience)
The aim of this session is to equip pilots, air crew with the necessary skills to coordinate the successful evacuation and egress in the event of a ditching.
Objective
The objectives of the HUET HEED Training are that delegates will be able to: Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety
equipment, and follow procedures in preparing for, and during helicopter emergencies – with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following
ditching using HEED equipment.

Introduction & Hazards to Overwater Operations
Introduction to current statistics on number of ditchings
Pre – flights checks
Inspection
Pressure indicator gauge
Clearing procedures
Deployment of HEED
Assessment
