Legionella Awareness

This course is designed for those who work in building management, design and maintenance.

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4.Aims and Objectives
The aim of this occupational health and safety training course is to develop delegates’ awareness of legionella and how to control the risks.

5.Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
By the end of the training session delegates will understand:
 What is Legionella
 The current legal requirements, approved code of practice and best practice
 The risks associated with Legionella bacteria
 How to control the risks associated with Legionella bacteria
 Understand the duty holders responsibilities
 Understand the risk management

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is an awareness course and includes an observational written assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
