Personal Gas Detector Training

1. Target Group
This course is designed for personnel entering a work site that requires personal gas detection equipment.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisite entry requirements for this qualification.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All students will be
asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

4. Aims and Objectives
This course is aimed to provide information about detection and control of flammable or toxic atmospheres to help them remain safe while working around
potentially dangerous gases.

5. Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, delegate will understand:
 Appropriate use of the personal gas detector
 The care and maintenance required of the instrument
 How to properly wear and use the personal gas detector
 How to properly respond to a monitor alarm
 How to obtain a gas clip from the permit issuer

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
This is an awareness level course for the proper use of personal gas detector.
