Basic Safety Awareness

1.Target Group
This course provides delegates with basic safety awareness training. Topics covered include first aid, ergonomics, manual handling & lifting technique,
personal hygiene and other common workplace safety principles that provide a basic foundation of workplace safety practices.

2.Delegate Pre-requisites
There is no pre-requisites on this course.

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All students
will be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

4.Aims and Objectives
The aim of this course is to ensure that students will gain of knowledge of the common workplace safety practices. Upon completion of this course,
students will know:
 The basic understanding of first aid;
 Importance of ergonomics in their workplace;
 Manual handling and work related injuries;
 Importance of having good personal hygiene.

 Ways to resolve ergonomic problems

 What you can and can’t do at work?

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This course is an awareness course and
includes observational written assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
