Behavioral Based Safety

1.Target Group
This four-hour course is designed to address some of the Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) issues we face every day.

2.Delegate Pre-requisites

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. All students
will be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre (QISC) standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

4.Aims and Objectives
 Identify differences between traditional vs BBS.
 Know “when and when not” to implement BBS.
 Explain why most traditional safety programmes don’t work!
 Understand why positive reinforcement is much more powerful than
negative reinforcement.

5.Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
To be made aware of:
 Educate and inform.
 Increase the number of safe behaviors in the workplace.
 Eliminate the risks of incidents and injuries.
 Develop the skills and knowledge of our workers.

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This an awareness course and includes an
observational written assessment.
Certification: QISC certification with Three years validity
