Employees and supervisors who are involved in driving and operating a vehicle with mounted lifting device.

*2. Delegate Pre-requisites
Hold Appropriate Qatari Driving license

*3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All delegates will be asked to complete a Qatar International Safety Centre standard medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

*4. Aims and Objectives
At the end of the training the Boom truck operators will have a good understanding of the controls in relation to lifting and load movement in a safe and
controlled manner.

*5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
To successfully complete this course, delegates must be able to:
1. Perform all pre-operation and post use -checks
2. Observe, recognise, and correctly respond to all potential and actual
3. Communicate correctly and appropriately with other operatives.
4. Demonstrate correct boom extension load movement procedure.
5. Interpret the rated capacity chart.
6. Manoeuvre safely and efficiently in a confined area.
7. Transport all loads with maximum safety.
8. Set up outriggers and stabilizers.
9. Recognise Different types of slings and sling identification markings
10.Demonstrate Principles of sling angles and tensions
11.Attach slings to ensure a safe and even weight distribution
12.Protect rigging equipment from damage
13.Demonstrate the safe storage procedure.

*6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Assessment: Delegates will be assessed by continuous observation of their practical demonstration during their tenure as Boom Truck Operator.
Certification: QISC Certification Valid for 3 Years
