Scope (Target Group)
This course will benefit specific personnel tasked with conducting Fire Watch duties.

Objectives
This course is designed to give a basic level of competency of personnel employed conduct the competent duty of Fire Watcher

Structure of the Course (Course Content)
The syllabus focuses on:
 Basic Fire & Hose Handling (theory and practical)
 Duties of a Fire Watcher
 Site/Area Preparation
 Theory of Combustion/Fire
 Equipment Requirements i.e. fire extinguishers; fire blankets; occupant hose reels and; fire fighting hose (45mm)
 Examples & Processes of Hot Works & Permit to Work (client specific) systems
 Examples & Identifications Fire Hazards and Control Measures

Assessment
The course is a competency based course and includes informal observational assessment plus formal assessments
