Dust Control Awareness

1. Target Group
This two-hour course is aimed at personnel who are, or could be, working in an environment that may become affected by dust.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing
appropriate medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4. Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the training are to ensure that the participant gains the required knowledge and understanding of the particular risk
factors related to dust and the appropriate actions to be taken to eliminate or minimize the effects of dust.

Upon completion of this course participants will understand:
 The definition of dust
 The legislation involve
 Different types of Construction Dust
 Health risks of dust
 Risk Assessment
 Control measures
 Respiratory protective equipment (RPE)

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is an awareness course and includes an observational written assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
