Floor Fire Warden (Supreme Committee)

*1. Target Group
This program is designed for those personnel nominated as Floor Wardens, performing fire safety routine and emergency tasks and for general staff.

*2. Delegate Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites on this course however a general understanding of health and safety is preferred.

*3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participates in practical activities specified in this course must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.

*4. Aim of the Course
The aim of the course is to provide participants with a suitable level of knowledge and practical experience enabling them to perform fire safety roles within
offices or any other business premises.

*5. Course Content
 Legislation.
 Science of Fire.
 What Fire is and how it spreads.
 Fire prevention.
 Fire emergency evacuation plan.
 Firefighting equipment.

*6. Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
 Understand what action to take in the event of fire.
 Identify the type of fire and the correct firefighting equipment to use.
 Experience a practical demonstration of fire extinguisher.
 Experience a practical use of digital fire extinguisher with a fire simulator.

*7. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
The course is assessed by a practical demonstration of the correct use of a fire extinguisher using fire simulator.

Three years
