General Safety Training and Hazard Awareness

1. Target Group
This two-hour course is designed to serve as an introduction to general health and safety of all workforce in the organization.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4. Aims and Objectives
The aim this course is to make staff aware of common hazards in the workplace and how to recognize those hazards.

5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
By the end of this course participants will:
 Identify common hazards in their workplace
 Recognize their duties and responsibilities in preventing injury or illhealth cause by those hazards
 Understand actions to be taken in the event of an emergency

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is an awareness course and includes observational assessment.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
