1.Target Group
This training provides drivers, owners, operators, freight consignors, equipment dealers and rental suppliers with the basic safety principles that should be
followed to ensure the safe carriage of loads and lashing/restrain of the load

No pre-requisites required for this course.

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
Training and/or assessment activities contained within this Standard may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel
who participate in such activities must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.
Therefore, to ensure that prior to participating in practical exercises, the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening form provided by QISC

4.Aims and Objectives
This course is aimed to raise awareness of load movement activities on vehicle at throughout the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning
and Operation Sector. The training concentrates on the hazards of load movement of any load at any distance, mitigate the risk and safe transportation of
the load.

5.Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
At the end of the training delegates must understand and demonstrate competence as per the below stated learning outcomes:
1. Roles and responsibilities
2. Understand the Load Shift
3. Explain how to carry a load safely
4. Explain the Load restraint’s methods
5. Explain how to use identification tags, color codes to establish SWL/WLL and certification of equipment.
6. Understand and demonstrate how to select the equipment
7. Demonstrate proper positioning of the load
8. Demonstrate how to Lash/ Restrain the load safely
9. Explain how to use the dunnage
10.Explain the reason for recognizing unstable loads
11.Demonstrate safe loading and unloading method

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: The practical session will be assessed as per the learning outcomes. The candidate may be asked questions
periodically in relation to the load transportation environment. Briefing will be given relating to specific tasks to be achieves whilst loading load and
lashing / protecting the loads, other road users and environment. Each candidate must be able to successfully demonstrate and explain of these
tasks in order to be recorded as a competent person.
Certification: QISC Approved Certification with Two Years validity
