QISC Health and Safety – Foundation Level

1. Target Group
All Employees who wish to have general knowledge in the health and safety.

2. Delegate Pre-requisites
There is no entry requirements for this course however a general understanding of health and safety is preferred.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
Training and assessment activities contained in this course will include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements, all personnel in this course
must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.

4. Aims and Objectives
The aim of the course is to have focus on why health and safety is important, and how individuals can make a real difference to the wellbeing of themselves
and others through changing their behavior.

5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
The delegates will be able to:
 Understand the fundamental safety considerations
 Identify hazards, assess the level of risks, and provide control measures
 Identify common workplace hazards
 Understand the importance of investigating accidents and incidents

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
The delegates’ performance is assessed by oral questioning and a multiple choice written assessment.
Upon the successful completion of the course, delegates will be issued with QISC
Certificate valid for 3 years.
