1.Target Group
The Course is designed for Banksman, Drivers & Supervisor.

2.Delegate Pre-requisites
None

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
Training and/or assessment activities contained within this course may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who
participate in such actives must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.
Therefore, to ensure that prior to participating in practical exercises, the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening from provided by QISC.

4.Aims and Objectives
This Course is aimed at providing information on ways at improving participant’s
 Knowledge on Identify areas of danger within sites
 To reduce risk in maneuvering operations
 Introduction to standard hand and flag signals
 Raise awareness of the dangers when maneuvering vehicles.

5.Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
By the end of this course, the driver should be able to:
 To know and understand the role of the vehicle driver and banksman in maneuvering vehicles
 Importance of Banksman’s PPE, Incident avoidance,
 Asst. driver/operator for pre-use check and vehicle condition
 Understand drivers responsibility, proper communication and how to work as a team
 Recognize safe working practices
 Understand the effects of bad weather
 Assist the Drive/Operator for the loading and unloading materials
 Understand the safe distance with the moving vehicle
 Maneuver safely and efficiently in a restricted space
 Understand what to do in an emergency situation

6.Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate performance Assessment:

Theory: There will be an interactive class discussion and verbal questioning throughout the session. There will be a written examination in the form of a
multiple choice paper.

Practical: The practical driving session will be assessed with respect to measurement of the objectives and their subsets. The driver may be asked simple
questions periodically in relation to the driving environment. Briefings will be given relating to specific task to be achieved whilst driving. Each driver must
be able to successfully perform each of these task in order to be recorded as competent. Assessment feedback will be provided at the end of the session.

Certification: QISC Approved Certification with 3 year Validity
