Welding Safety Awareness

1.Target Group
This course target group is those personnel working as a welder or personnel working nearby hot worksite.

2.Delegate Pre-requisites
Delegate should know about welding activity.

3.Physical and Stressful Demands
There are no physical and stressful demands in this course, however the delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing appropriate
medical screening form provided by QISC in order to ensure that the delegates are fit and well to participate fully.

4.Aims and Objectives
By the end of this course you will learn:
 Delegates should know about Oxygen
 Nature of oxygen.
 What could happen, on enrich oxygen environment?
 Should know about proper handling cylinder
 Should know about operation of the valve

Upon completion of this course delegate must be able to:

 What is Acetylene?
 How to storage the oxygen and acetylene cylinder?
 Know about Nature of Oxygen
 Rules for handling and using regulators
 Backfires and Flashbacks
 What is flashback arrestors?
 Know about cutting tips and nozzles
 To check cylinder condition
 Safety equipment and preparation
 Know about PPE for the work activity

Performance Assessment: Written multiple choice questionnaire
Certificate: QISC Approved Certification with Three years validity
