1. Target Group
This qualification has been developed for those who wish to become an Emergency First Aider and use a defibrillator.

3. Physical and Stressful Demands
All personnel who participate in practical activities specified on this course, must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.
The delegates will be required to undergo medical screening by completing a Self-declaration of Medical Fitness form provided by QISC prior to
participating in practical exercises.

4. Aims and Objectives
This training course aimed to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge about emergency first aid procedures and will be able to use a defibrillator
correctly. All topics covered will help to maintain good practice in safe, prompt and effective emergency first aid treatment of individuals.

5. Learning Outcomes / Assessment Criteria
The learner will:
 Know basic emergency first aid requirements
 Be able to demonstrate basic emergency first aid techniques in line with current guidelines
 Know how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

6. Delegate Performance Assessment / Certification / Validity
Delegate Performance Assessment: This is competency based course includes practical observation and written/oral questioning.
Certification: Highfield certification (certificate issuance will take minimum of 30 days from the course completion)
Validity: 3 years
